Description: Senior Camp 2026 - Deposit / First Payment
This is to reserve a place for members wishing to attend Pony Club Senior Camp in 2026. This is a residential Camp. The deposit is £50 per member.
Arrangements for the 2026 Camp are that it will be held at Cheltenham Racecourse from Sunday, July 26th to Friday, July 31st, both dates inclusive.
The fee has been set at £450, which will include accommodation at "Hunters Lodge" at the racecourse, food, camp hoodie, straw, hay and muck heap clearance. It also includes the pre-Camp assessment rally. We do not wish any member to miss out on the Camp experience for financial reasons, so any parents facing difficulty in paying the full fee should feel free to contact Chris Dee in absolute confidence.
We will have a strict attendance limit of 56 Members, All members who will be aged 11 or over by the end of Camp 2026 will be eligible to attend. Applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
We are repeating the opportunity for parents to spread the cost of Camp over a number of months. Further information to follow at a later date.
A sibling discount scheme will apply, giving a 10% discount for a second family member, and 20% discount for each further family member. This will be applied shortly before Camp – please do not attempt to calculate it now.
Booking early guarantees your child a place at Camp, subject to good behaviour and being an active Pony Club branch member. You will also need to help at the event for both set up and take down.
!!! IMPORTANT - PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED INFORMATION REGARDING VACCINE RULES FOR CAMP - YOU MUST ADHERE TO THESE TO ATTEND - PASSPORTS WILL BE CHECKED BY A VET PRIOR TO ENTRY. IF YOU DO NOT MEET THESE REQUIREMENTS YOUR PONY / HORSE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND CAMP !!!
Cancellation Policy
Should you decide at a later date not to send your child to Camp, you will be refunded the money that you have paid. However, if withdrawal occurs after the end of April, 2026, a cancellation fee will apply. If the place is cancelled during May or June, there will be a cancellation fee of £200 per child, and this will rise to £300 for July cancellations. This approximates to the cost to The Pony Club of a withdrawal at this late stage, as most expenditure will already be contractually committed. The fee may be waived at the discretion of the Pony Club if a replacement takes the place. If the cancellation is for medical reasons and is supported by either a doctor’s or vet’s certificate, the cancellation fee will be reduced by 50%. Notification of cancellation should be sent by e-mail to Caroline Pringle.
If the event has to be cancelled due to circumstances beyond the control of The Pony Club, it will be entitled to pay all committed and irrecoverable expenditure out of the Camp fund, which is the sum of all the Camp fees that have been paid. The balance remaining will then be distributed equally between the members who would have attended the Camp.
